Mission Statement: To collectively create, promote and advance arts and culture of the diverse people of Burma, through education, performance/showcase, and artist empowerment, via collaboration with the community network of artists.

Value: As culture is an important part of personal identity and community connection, and culture is usually expressed through the richness of art in its various forms, there is a need to strengthen the role of art in the culture of people from Burma, so that the community can be recognized and thus empowered in the larger world context. Whenever possible, programs are designed to help artists earn some income. Moreover, to respect and appreciate each artist's creative independence, the collaborative aims to facilitate programs that allow for each individual's unique contribution.

Though art is intuitive and is a subjective expression of the human experience, we also believe that an understanding of the creative processes and the analytic reflection of a person's philosophy in his/her approach to create are important and integral parts of becoming an artist and the role art plays in culture. Hence, we encourage thoughtful exchange of ideas and an awareness of the creative processes in the making of art.

Arts include: Dance, music, theater, literature, culinary arts, visual and graphic arts/design, textile and fashion, fine arts – oil or acrylic painting/watercolor/sketches/mixed media/sculpture/photography, film, industrial design, architecture, crafts – lacquer ware/wooden artifacts/pottery/china, antiques etc.
